Spanish Immersion in Madrid
May - June 2015
In the weeks following the completion of my first year as a Bearcat, I had the absolutely amazing opportunity to travel to Madrid through the Romance Languages and Literatures Department's Spanish Immersion Program.
In this embedded proposal for my experience, I outline the many goals and aspirations I had for my time in Spain.

One of the goals of my project was to study the interaction with and influence of Arab culture with Spanish culture, language, and traditions. In the semester prior to departing for Madrid, I prepared the following presentation about the relationship between these two cultures, and the history that they have shared.
